  • Overseeing Access Officers & general safety. Also acts as a floater, relieving various sling handlers who may need a break from time to time. This position may go later than 5pm.

  • Monitors the list of boats to be hauled out or launched. Ensures that skippers of the boats next up in the sequence are present at the club and ready to move their boats. Instructs skippers on when to go to their boats to prepare for launch or haulout.

Sign up for haul-out work crew / work hours. Click on the Registration button to begin the process. You will have the option to select the positions & time slots that interest you.

Haul-out is on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19, 2024.

Shift times:

Friday morning shift: 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM (please ensure you arrive early for shift start)

Friday afternoon shift: 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM 

Saturday morning shift: 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM (usually around 12:00 PM but may go later depending on conditions, you may need to stay to the end depending on your role)

Notes:

First time volunteering? This guide will tell you what to expect on launch / haulout

Lead sling handlers will be registered separately. A waitlist for filled-up roles will be available. All positions will be confirmed by email closer to haul-out.

Please wear safety gear (provided) and weather-appropriate clothing. Sling handlers should wear gloves and steel toe boots.

Our club is near the foot of Dowling Avenue, on the water's edge between Argonaut Rowing Club and the Boulevard Club. To park, turn south onto Net Drive from Lake Shore.
