Trophies and awards 

The Tuesday Night Race Series Trophy (Keelboat). Awarded annually to the sailor with the top cumulative result from our weeknight keelboat race series based on PHRF. 

The Tuesday Night Race Series Trophy (Wayfarer). Awarded annually to the sailor with the top cumulative result from our weeknight Wayfarer race series. 

The See the Island Trophy. Awarded to the top keelboat (on PHRF). The placement of the plaques commemorating each year’s result is not chronological but there are results going back decades scattered around this beautiful trophy. 

The George Blanchard Trophy. Awarded to the top dinghy racer in the See the Island Race. (In the past, this trophy was awarded for Lake Ontario Racing Circuit races.)

The Lightning Trophy. Awarded annually to the winner of the Women’s Helm Race Series (held on Thursday nights). In the past, this trophy recognized the winner of a Lighting class race. The Lightning class is no longer active and the trophy was repurposed in 2023 as TS&CC launched the Women’s Helm series.

The Captain Morgan Rum Gold Cup. Awarded to the winner of the Bark at the Moon race. This trophy was awarded in the 80s for a one-day race event; it was repurposed in 2023.

The Commodore Cup. Awarded in some years to an individual who has made contributions to the club that the Commodore deems worthy of special recognition.

The Fleet Captain’s Trophy. Awarded in some years in recognition of excellence in external competition.

The Jens T. Wollesen Memorial Trophy: “The Spirit of Sailing”. Awarded in some years to someone who embodies the spirit of sailing.

The Top Hat. Awarded in some years to someone who made significant contributions to the club in that year.
