Registration

  • Access Officers work under the direction of the Safety Officer to keep the site safe while the boats are being lifted.

  • Overseeing / instructing other boat sling handlers; removing slings while the boat is on the cradle

  • Overseeing volunteers at the check-in desk; dealing with questions and paperwork
  • Stationed at the Registration desk checking-in volunteers and boat owners who are hauling-out, including handing out pram/tender stickers and collecting boat insurance information.

  • Records actual time of boats and boat/owner names hauled-out; ensures next few boat owners are lined up and ready to go and maintains a list on the blackboard.

  • Record boat owners' pram/tender location, assigned number & takes a photo of the pram/tender. Provide report (in Excel) following haul-out.
  • Overseeing Access Officers & general safety. Also acts as a floater, relieving various sling handlers who may need a break from time to time. This position may go later than 5pm.
  • Oversee other Upper Deck Sling Handler; on boats, attaching slings. Must be nimble & wear safety hat & boots.

Our club is near the foot of Dowling Avenue, on the water's edge between Argonaut Rowing Club and the Boulevard Club. To park, turn south onto Net Drive from Lake Shore.
